We are excited to announce that Ruth Pearson has joined NLC as General Counsel.
Prior to joining NLC, Ruth served as General Counsel and Company Secretary at LendInvest plc, a listed lending, asset management, and investment advisory business. There, she was instrumental in designing and implementing the legal, risk, compliance, and governance functions from its start-up stage, ultimately guiding the company through its successful IPO.

Ruth began her career as a transactional banking lawyer at Simmons + Simmons. Her finance experience includes advising investors, borrowers, issuers, and lenders on alternative investment funds, retail bonds, securitisations, venture debt, secondary debt trading, and real estate finance.
A chartered company secretary and a fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute, Ruth studied law at The University of Birmingham and qualified as a lawyer in 2009.
