NLC Bolsters its Team with Senior Addition: Robby Koreman

NLC is proud to announce the appointment of Robby Koreman as an Investor Relations Director, further enhancing its team. Robby joins from the Dutch Pension Fund PGB, where he served for 2 years as an Alternative Fixed Income Portfolio Manager and as the Treasury & Rates Team Lead. Before joining PGB, for 7 years Robby held various positions at Athora Netherlands (previously known as VIVAT). At NLC, Robby’s responsibilities will encompass portfolio management and leading the initiative to broaden NLC’s reach and capabilities among European institutional investors. He brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record with some of Europe’s leading insurance and pension funds. We believe he will be instrumental in expanding NLC’s presence among continental European institutional investors.”

Robby Koreman, said: “I am very excited to join NLC and help grow this promising business. I have known the founders for many years and considered them valuable business partners in my previous roles as an institutional investor. It was therefore an honour to be asked to join the team. Fund Financing is one of the most compelling areas within Private Credit in general, and I believe Subscription Financing investments specifically could be of added value to almost any institutional balance sheet.”

Robby will be responsible for fundraising and investor relations with European Institutional Investors and will contribute to the portfolio management overall. Robby has over 17 years of experience in different roles at European banks, insurance companies, and pension funds.
Before joining NLC, Robby spent 12 years in the Netherlands. In the capacity of Portfolio Manager Alternative Fixed Income, and later Team Lead Treasury & Rates, at a EUR 30Bln Dutch Pension Fund, he introduced Fund Financing as an asset class and put Subscription Financing specifically on the agenda for the fund’s Treasury strategy. Prior to that, Robby was a portfolio manager at Athora Netherlands, a EUR 45Bln Insurance Company. Amongst other responsibilities, Robby was in charge of a EUR 600Mln portfolio of capital call facilities and ensured the strategy was recognised as a strategic asset class for allocations.

Born and raised in Belgium, Robby started his career as a financial markets consultant and later became a freelance Quantitative Analyst. A journey that took him to many different financial institutions and ended with a longer tenure in Amsterdam.
Robby holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Leuven and obtained the CFA, CAIA and CQF professional certifications.
